BMW rolled out a full range of parts and accessories for the M5 sports sedan at the recent Specialty Equipment Manufacturing Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas. Developed using lessons learned by the Motorsports division of BMW on the European racing circuit, these add-ons contribute to the BMW M-Series performance and appearance while adding improvements in the areas of cooling, aerodynamics and lightening the vehicle weight. You can order the parts and accessories at Chapman BMW in Chandler when the M5 arrives on the showroom floor in the spring of 2018.

New M5 Reaches New Heights of Driving Dynamics

As part of the BMW M-Series, the M5 has proven to be a popular sedan that can deliver exciting driving dynamics when called upon, but is just as comfortable ferrying executives around town. Now in its sixth generation, the M5 now comes with M xDrive, an all-wheel drive system specific to the BMW M-Series. Offering supreme handling, this new variation on the popular xDrive allows the driver to select different modes depending on the road conditions and the driver’s mood. There’s even a rear-wheel drive mode with no Dynamic Stability Control in case you want to go to an abandoned parking lot and practice your drifts. “Thanks to M xDrive, the all-new BMW M5 can be piloted with the familiar blend of sportiness and unerring accuracy both on the racetrack and out on the open road, while also delighting drivers with its significantly enhanced directional stability and controllability right up the limits of performance when driving in adverse conditions such as on wet roads or snow,” said BMW board chairman Frank van Meel

Monster Engine Offers More Power Than Ever

The new M5 is powered by a 4.4L V8 engine that produces 600 horsepower and a stout 553 pound-feet of torque. That combination not only promises an unparalleled launch off the starting line, but the ability to keep pushing through each shift of the 8-speed Steptronic transmission. It is the most powerful M5 ever produced, making the run from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds. Drivers can change the performance of the engine just by pushing a button, changing it from Efficient to Sport or Sport Plus. What you might lose in fuel efficiency will more than be made up in smiles. The engineers behind the BMW M-Series are constantly pushing to enhance the performance of this special breed of sports cars. New twin-scroll turbochargers offer more boost pressure than ever before, while a new injection system improves the atomization of the fuel for a larger explosion. The result is a more thrilling drive than ever before offered in an M5. Stop in and talk to the pros at Chapman BMW in Chandler today to see about getting your hands on the first M5 to arrive on the lot next spring.

Now available in three distinctive body styles, the 2018 BMW 4-Series provides a measure of sophistication and sports car dynamics in an affordable package. “The maxim guiding the BMW 4-Series model update was ‘stick to the proven formula but add extra richness to the car’s character,’” said BMW design chief Domagoj Dukec, “That’s why the exterior design shines the spotlight most brightly on the dynamic and elegant qualities of the BMW 4-Series family.” Now available in a coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe, the 4-Series gives an extra helping of exclusiveness and elegance over the 3-Series, without the additional cost of going to the 5-Series. Concept Vision Evident in New 4-Series

The BMW concept 4-Series coupe from 2012 was a vision of futuristic design, with LED hexagonal headlights, a large central air intake that gives the nose section an imposing sense of width and crisp contours that define the shape as a muscular monster that still delivers a certain level of sophistication. BMW designers incorporated all those cues into the 2018 4-Series, creating a vehicle with a low-slung silhouette that’s as much fun to look at as it is to drive. By giving the rear end some strong horizontal lines and a longer bank of rear lights, the strong wheel arches stand out to create an imposing stance on the road. A handsome rear apron displays a feeling of power to all those in your rear-view mirror.

Interior Both Sporty and Elegant

“The interior of the BMW 4-Series family delights with its own unique blend of sportiness and elegance,” said BMW interior design chief Oliver Hellmer. “There is the distinctly sporty flair of the driving environment and then there are the high-class materials and long, graceful lines greeting the occupants in both the front and rear.” When you take a test drive at Chapman BMW in Chandler, pay particular attention to the upgraded materials and attention to detail that gives the cabin an air of exclusivity. Electroplated finishes on the control panels and switches are not only durable, but add a feeling of sophistication. A new selection of Dakota leather options include Ivory White, Midnight Blue and Cognac, letting you customize your interior to your specific tastes.

Plenty of Power and Performance

As the 4-Series is unmistakably a BMW, you’ll certainly be pleased with the power and performance once you get out on the road. Two engine choices deliver your choice of 248 or 320 horspower. When paired with the eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, these powertrains deliver a smooth ride that delivers power when you need it. The BMW 4-Series also features near perfect 50/50 weight distribution and a suspension that utilizes the lessons learned from years on the racing circuit. Power, performance and elegance is all yours in the opulent 4-Series.
